Free trade copier for Tradovate — what exists today, and what is coming

Last reviewed 2 October 2026

Search for a free trade copier and almost everything that comes back is a paid product with a seven-day trial. There is one genuinely free option for Tradovate, it is built into the platform, and it is enough for a good number of setups. This page says what it does, exactly where it stops, and what Syncopy’s free version will add when it is ready — which it is not yet.

What is free right now: Tradovate Group Trade

Tradovate ships a copier. It is called Group Trade, there is no add-on to buy and no subscription for it, and it does the core job: you create a group, add your accounts, and one order is distributed across all of them.

If your accounts all sit at one prop firm, that may genuinely be the end of your search. The full walkthrough, including why Manage Groups might not appear for you, is on the Group Trade page.

Where free stops

Four limits decide whether Group Trade fits, and one of them is absolute:

None of those are reasons to pay by themselves. They are the questions to ask about your own setup before you look at anything else.

What the “free” trials actually are

Most of what ranks for this search is a subscription with a trial attached. As of October 2026, Tradesyncer, Tradecopia, Copilink and Replikanto each offer roughly seven days of full access; some ask for a card before you start.

That is useful — a week is enough to find out whether a tool fits your setup, and trying before buying is the right instinct for software that touches funded accounts. It is just not a free copier. At the end of the week you pay or you stop copying.

Syncopy’s free version — planned, not available yet

It does not exist yet. Syncopy is in private testing and there is nothing to download, free or paid. Joining the waitlist is how you hear when that changes — there is no other announcement channel.

Get the free version when it ships

One email when it is ready. Joining also holds the paid licence at $99 instead of $149, if you end up needing more than two accounts. No marketing, no spam.

Why two accounts, and not more

Two is the smallest setup where copying means anything at all: one leader, one follower. The limit sits there because the paid licence has no cap — no charge per account, per login or per machine — and the moment someone adds a third account is the moment a copier starts paying for itself.

What makes the free version worth installing is not the number. It is that two accounts at two different firms is a thing Tradovate cannot do for you for free, however many accounts you have. The full price comparison, including what the subscriptions add up to over two years, is on the pricing page.

Frequently asked

Is there a free trade copier for Tradovate?

Yes. Tradovate's own Group Trade is part of the platform at no charge, and for several setups it is all you need. It copies one order across accounts that share a single brokerage login. Its limits are real: it cannot copy between two different prop firms, it does not work on the mobile app, it does not support ATM strategies, order quantity must be a multiple of the group total, and it has no per-account risk controls. Everything else advertised as free in this category is a trial of a paid product, usually seven days.

Will Syncopy have a free version?

Yes, that is the plan: two accounts, one leader and one follower, which may sit at two different prop firms, with everything else included including per-account daily loss caps and the journal. It does not exist yet. Syncopy is in private testing and there is nothing to download, free or paid. The waitlist is how you hear when that changes.

Why is the free version limited to two accounts?

Two accounts is the smallest setup where copying means anything: one leader and one follower. The limit sits there because the paid licence has no cap at all, and the point at which someone adds a third account is the point at which a copier starts earning its money. What makes the free version worth installing is not the count but the cross-firm part, which Tradovate's own free copier cannot do at any price.

What about the free trials other copiers offer?

As of October 2026, Tradesyncer, Tradecopia, Copilink and Replikanto each offer about seven days of full access, and some ask for a card up front. A trial answers whether a tool fits your setup, which is genuinely useful, but it is not a free copier: at the end of the week you either pay or you stop copying. Tradovate's Group Trade is the only option in this category that stays free.

Can I just use Group Trade and skip paying entirely?

If all your accounts sit at one prop firm, you do not need ATM strategies, you trade from the web or desktop platform, and you are comfortable with order sizes being multiples of the group total, then yes, and nothing on this site is worth paying for. The case for anything else begins at the second brokerage login, because that is the wall Group Trade cannot cross.

Prices and trial terms come from each vendor's own published pages, checked October 2026; Group Trade's limits come from Tradovate's own documentation.
